    About the role#

    This internship supports the Application Development and Product Technology groups within the Engineering Plastics business. You will work in the laboratory to improve material performance by testing formulations and chemistries. The role involves hands-on laboratory work, part design, and mold design activities.

    What you'll do#

    • Devise test plans to understand how material formulation influences physical properties.
    • Coordinate experimental work including material preparation, injection molding, and testing.
    • Conduct mechanical and thermal testing on parts and samples using lab equipment.
    • Analyze data and write summaries for project stakeholders.
    • Develop design concepts using CAD software.
    • Support marketing efforts by preparing reports and presentations.
    • Conduct and support advanced injection molding and processing studies.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Mechanical, Material Science, or Chemical Engineering.
    • Completion of at least your freshman year by the start date.
    • A minimum college GPA of 3.0.
    • Working experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
    • Familiarity with structural and thermal analysis concepts.
    • Ability to coordinate projects and identify technical solutions.
    • Experience with laboratory testing and processing equipment.
    • Familiarity with AI concepts and tools.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse teams.
