About the role#
Covestro is hiring an Engineering Intern for a full-time, 3-month assignment during the Summer of 2027. This position is based on-site in South Deerfield, Massachusetts. Interns will work in one of several functional areas, including process engineering, project engineering, maintenance, reliability, quality assurance, or safety. The pay range for this role is $23.68 to $29.21 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Assist in developing process improvements and solving process-related problems for chemical plants.
- Help design unit operations.
- Work on projects to improve plant reliability, safety, environmental compliance, and profitability.
- Execute capital projects.
- Support the design or modification of manufacturing, quality, engineering, safety, and maintenance processes and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Chemical, Mechanical, Material Science, or Plastics Engineering.
- Completion of at least your freshman year.
- An overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Completion of your junior year is preferred.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is a plus.
