About the role#
As a Technology Intern, you will help build the software tools that power the CoStar Group proprietary platform. These tools support our sales and research teams across major real estate marketplaces like Homes.com, CoStar.com, Apartments.com, and LoopNet.com. You will work alongside full-time engineers on enterprise-level projects and receive guidance from a dedicated mentor to support your technical and career development.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to meaningful business initiatives.
- Gain hands-on experience with software engineering principles.
- Work with a variety of technologies, which may include TypeScript, Java, C#, Python, AWS, and Kubernetes.
- Explore AI-related areas such as machine learning, large language models, and natural language processing.
- Collaborate on technical projects and team-based work.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable major.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Planning to return to school after the internship concludes.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Ability to commit to a 40-hour work week for the full 10-week summer program.
- Experience applying programming languages, databases, cloud concepts, or frameworks through coursework, projects, or previous internships.
- Familiarity with Agile practices, the Software Development Lifecycle, and API design concepts like REST or GraphQL.
- Ability to write maintainable, well-documented code.
- Demonstrated initiative and an interest in building high-quality software.
- Must be eligible to work full-time in the United States. Please note that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
Location & details#
- Location: Richmond, Virginia.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: This position is on-site Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
- Compensation: $40 - $45 per hour.
