Software Engineering Intern

About the role#

The Software Engineering Intern will contribute to the development of web applications, ranging from ground-up builds to supporting existing projects. This role involves working within a collaborative environment to deliver responsive single-page applications and backend microservices.

What you'll do#

• Assist in developing well-structured web applications using modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks, including ReactJS, ReactNative, and Node.js.
• Collaborate with UX designers and developers to build modular, reusable components.
• Work with experienced developers to build and maintain scalable microservices using Java and the Spring framework.
• Follow and promote development best practices while learning to operate in a highly collaborative environment.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Experience developing web applications in Java, Ruby, or Python.
• Proficiency with web frameworks such as Spring, Django, Flask, Ruby on Rails, or Sinatra.
• Experience designing and building single-page applications using JavaScript frameworks.
• Knowledge of at least one client-side MVC JavaScript framework, preferably ReactJS or ReactNative.
• Experience developing modular front-end components using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of web standards, cross-browser compatibility, browser rendering behavior, and performance constraints.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
