DevOps Engineering Intern

About the role#

Copart is seeking a DevOps Engineering Intern to support the deployment, automation, and operation of cloud-native and AI-enabled applications. This role involves working alongside software engineers, data scientists, and DevOps teams to build, deploy, and maintain infrastructure while learning industry best practices in automation and operational reliability.

What you'll do#

• Assist in deploying and maintaining applications across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Support containerized application deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments.
• Assist with environment provisioning, configuration management, and automation tasks.
• Monitor application health, performance, and availability.
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives and support AI/MLOps workflows, including model deployment and inference services.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Understanding of Linux administration and command-line tools.
• Familiarity with Docker, containerized applications, and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Bash.
• Familiarity with Git, version control workflows, and basic CI/CD concepts.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
