About the role#
Genuine Parts Company is seeking a Cloud Developer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site at our Birmingham, Alabama headquarters. You will join an Agile development team to build cloud-native services and work directly with senior developers and architects.
What you'll do#
- Build cloud-native services and integrations as part of an Agile team.
- Complete a capstone project related to your discipline to present to IT leadership.
- Document, design, develop, test, and monitor technical solutions.
- Support the deployment pipeline to move products into production.
- Triage and solve technical issues.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS degree program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of software development languages, with a preference for Java.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud.
- Experience with DevSecOps processes and tools, such as Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Linux shell and Windows scripting.
- Understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
