About the role#
This internship offers a chance to work with teams that plan and deliver technology and business initiatives. You will observe how large programs operate, how agile teams function, and how a modern PMO keeps strategic work on track. This is a paid, full-time summer 2027 position.
What you'll do#
- Participate in project, program, and portfolio meetings to help keep leadership informed on progress.
- Support agile ceremonies across Agile Release Trains, including PI Planning, team standups, and retrospectives.
- Maintain schedules, dashboards, reports, and portfolio and delivery metrics.
- Collaborate with teams to capture requirements, meeting notes, and project artifacts.
- Assist with executive presentations, status reports, and governance materials.
- Track milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and action items.
- Support the development of team-health and flow views to help leaders see how work is progressing.
- Refine PMO and agile processes, templates, and tools.
- Work with stakeholders to keep project information accurate.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or BA in Business, Information Technology, Organizational Leadership, Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of project management, Agile, and Scrum concepts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, Smartsheet, Power BI, or Microsoft Project is a plus.

- This role is based on-site in Birmingham, Alabama.
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
