About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Birmingham, Alabama. You will work on-site at our headquarters, collaborating with project teams to develop web applications and solve business needs. You will also complete a capstone project to present to our IT leadership team.
What you'll do#
- Join an Agile development team to build web-based applications.
- Work with senior developers and architects on assigned tasks.
- Document, design, develop, test, and monitor technical solutions.
- Support the deployment pipeline for customer-facing products.
- Triage and resolve technical issues.
- Present a capstone project related to your discipline to IT leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of web frameworks such as Angular, React, Next.js, or Nest.js.
- Proficiency in Java.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud platforms.
- Experience with DevSecOps tools like Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Linux shell and Windows scripting.
- Understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
