About the role#
We are looking for a Software Engineer - QA Analyst Intern to join our team in Birmingham. This internship offers hands-on experience with software quality assurance and testing methodologies. You will work in a collaborative environment to help ensure the quality of our internal applications.
What you'll do#
- Define, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts.
- Assist the team in testing software applications.
- Identify, document, and log software defects.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to meet quality objectives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or BA degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Java and SQL.
- Understanding of structured application development and change control methodologies.
- Familiarity with relational database methodology.
- Ability to learn new tools and technologies while adapting to changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with automated testing tools like Selenium, Karate, or mabl is a plus.
