About the role#
CC&L Financial Group is hiring an Intern for the Corporate Actions team. This is an 8-month full-time position running from January to August 2027, with the potential to extend up to 12 months. You will support the team by managing corporate action events from initial announcement through to final reconciliation for equity and fixed income portfolios.
What you'll do#
- Gather and synthesize information from sources like Bloomberg, investor relations, and custodian notifications.
- Process corporate actions, including mergers, acquisitions, stock dividends, rights issues, spin-offs, redemptions, and mortgage-backed security pay-downs.
- Ensure all data is accurately reflected in the portfolio accounting system.
- Coordinate with custodians, portfolio managers, and internal staff to resolve cash and holding discrepancies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the third or fourth year of an undergraduate degree.
- Academic focus in Business Administration, Finance, Sciences, or Commerce.
- Strong academic track record.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Excel.
- Analytical mindset with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- High level of self-motivation and a strong work ethic.

- Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Compensation: $45,000 to $55,000 CDN annualized.
