About the role#
As a Personal Banking Associate, you will join our branch team for a Winter 2027 internship. You will act as a primary point of contact for customers, helping them navigate financial solutions while contributing to our branch goals. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Saint-Georges, Quebec.
What you'll do#
- Deliver service to customers and prospects by identifying their needs and recommending financial solutions.
- Welcome customers in the branch lobby and guide them through digital and self-serve banking options.
- Collaborate with branch partners to identify referral opportunities and support business objectives.
- Conduct client conversations regarding banking services and investment advice.
- Handle customer transaction-based needs and review profiles to identify potential opportunities.
- Support operational activities, such as inventory management and filing, while ensuring accuracy.
- Adhere to risk and compliance policies to protect bank assets and report suspicious activity.
- Stay current with banking products, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
What you'll need#
- Fluency in both French and English.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience or certification.
- Registration to sell investment products, either completed or in progress.
- Experience in consultative customer service or sales roles.
- Ability to use social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools with confidence.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Analytical mindset with an aptitude for problem-solving.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
