About the role#
As a Health, Equity and Wellbeing (HEW) Intern, you will work within our Health and Benefits business to support complex client projects. You will help employers address health, wellbeing, and inclusion and diversity strategies. This internship provides direct exposure to client assignments and offers a look into how we help organizations manage health plan costs and improve employee outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Consult with employers on health, equity, and wellbeing projects.
- Perform health, wellbeing, and inclusion and diversity strategies.
- Analyze and compare vendor products, services, and contracts.
- Design, distribute, and evaluate responses to surveys and RFPs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to analyze data.
- Create drafts of client deliverables for review by senior team members.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public health, health management, business administration, or a related field with significant quantitative coursework.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Work experience demonstrating strong technical or client service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter and cooperatively within a team.
- Passion for problem-solving.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June through August).
- Modality: Hybrid (requires local residency and ability to commute to the office).
- Compensation: $27-$30 per hour, eligible for overtime.
