About the role#
This 8-week summer internship at WTW offers undergraduate students hands-on experience in the insurance industry. The program serves as a pipeline for our full-time Graduate Development Program. You will work alongside senior leadership to gain a technical foundation in risk management and broking while supporting client-facing projects.
What you'll do#
- Gather information and analytics to assess and evaluate client risks.
- Create loss summaries and review program binders for accuracy.
- Check policies and provide support to brokers and senior brokers.
- Assist with deliverables for client renewal strategy meetings and RFPs.
- Research market solutions to identify and develop risk strategies for clients.
- Coordinate initial introductions to carrier and trading partners.
- Learn core insurance principles and brokerage concepts.
- Maintain accurate records and utilize our internal broking platform.
- Ensure all work adheres to quality and compliance procedures.
- Manage tasks effectively and provide support to customers through internal collaboration.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program with a target graduation date of May 2028.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Sociology, or a related field.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills with an analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
- A proactive approach and the ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to take direction, receive feedback, and deliver accurate work.
Location & details#
- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with an expectation to be in the office 3 days per week.
- Compensation: $31.00 CAD per hour, with eligibility for overtime.
- Employment Type: Full-time paid internship.
