About the role#
Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group is hiring an intern for our Retail Portfolio Operations team in Toronto. This role is for students or recent graduates who want to learn about investment operations, financial services, and process improvement. You will work with experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and reconcile client portfolio data.
- Support operational systems used for portfolio administration, trade management, and reporting.
- Assist with quarter-end fee processing and related operational tasks.
- Respond to routine inquiries from custodians and internal partners.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for management.
- Support account transfer processing and documentation.
- Participate in special projects and operational improvement initiatives.
- Document processes and review workflows.
- Suggest ways to improve efficiency using technology, automation, and AI tools.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of an undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Analytics, or Computer Science.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large data sets accurately.
- Ability to learn quickly and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Interest in continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Previous experience in financial services, operations, or data analysis is an asset.
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course is an asset.
- Familiarity with AI tools, data visualization, or automation tools is an asset.

- Compensation: $50,000 to $60,000 CDN annualized.
