About the role#
We are looking for an intern to join the Institutional Portfolio Operations team for an 8-month term spanning Winter and Summer 2027. You will work with a team that manages investment data for pension funds, foundations, endowments, and other institutional clients. This role offers a look into the operations of the asset management industry.
What you'll do#
- Process daily client subscription and redemption instructions for trading teams.
- Calculate management fees for institutional entities on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Administer the AUM reporting process.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the Investment, Sales, and RFP teams, as well as upper management.
- Participate in projects focused on automation, efficiency, and service scalability.
- Communicate portfolio information and manage the flow of sensitive data across affiliates.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in the third or fourth year of an undergraduate degree in business administration, commerce, finance, or a related field.
- A genuine interest in the investment industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think rationally and solve problems effectively.
- A self-motivated and ambitious attitude with a commitment to team success.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe.
- Advanced expertise in Excel.
- Experience with financial software, Excel VBA, Power BI, Smartsheet, or SQL is an asset.
