About the role#
The Nurse Intern supports patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role focuses on hands-on learning and assisting with essential care tasks to help patients and the healthcare team. You will work in a cardiac stepdown unit to provide safe and organized care.
What you'll do#
- Provide basic patient care within your scope of practice, including vital sign monitoring and hygiene assistance.
- Communicate with the care team during handoffs and report changes in patient conditions.
- Perform hourly rounding and purposeful interactions with patients.
- Maintain a clean work environment and assist with basic equipment maintenance.
- Document all tasks and observations clearly and accurately.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Nursing program.
- Completion of fundamentals of clinicals in an accredited Nursing program.
- Between 0 and 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
- CPR certification issued by the AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
