About the role#
Saint Luke's East Hospital is hiring a Nursing Intern for the Medical Intermediate unit. This is a paid position for students currently enrolled in an accredited RN program. You will work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse to gain hands-on experience in a hospital setting.
What you'll do#
- Perform clinical procedures as directed by a Registered Nurse.
- Provide direct and indirect care for assigned patients.
- Assist other health care team members with daily tasks.
- Complete technical tasks after passing unit competency validation.
- Note that interns are restricted from performing licensed tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited RN program.
- Completion of a Fundamentals of Nursing course.
- An expected graduation date in 2027 or 2028.
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
Location & details#
- Location: Lees Summit, Missouri.
- Schedule: PRN, with a minimum of one shift per six-week schedule.
- Work modality: On-site.
