About the role#
CNO Financial Group is hiring a Tax Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position where you will work alongside our tax associates on daily department tasks. The program runs from May 17 through August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist the team with gathering data and documentation for quarterly tax provisions and tax return preparation.
- Organize and review information used for state and federal tax filings.
- Research tax questions and compile information to help respond to taxing authority inquiries.
- Maintain tax depreciation schedules and prepare supporting workpapers for tax account analyses.
- Perform data entry, validation, and reconciliation tasks to support tax compliance and reporting.
- Review invoices and expense documentation to identify information for tax reporting and deductibility.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Status as a rising junior or rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for the 10 to 12 week duration of the program.
- Ability to work during Central or Eastern time zone business hours.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. We do not provide sponsorship for this position.
Location & details#
- This role supports remote, on-site, or hybrid work arrangements. You may work remotely from any U.S. location if you maintain Central or Eastern time zone hours.
- If you live within 60 miles of our corporate offices in Carmel, Indiana, or Chicago, Illinois, you may work from those locations as needed.
- Occasional travel to corporate offices may be required.
- Interns receive paid time off for Memorial Day and the 4th of July, access to the Employee Assistance Program, and eligibility for various fitness programs and company events.
