About the role#
CNO Financial Group is hiring an Accounting Operations Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside our accounting team to support daily operations and gain professional experience in the insurance industry. This is a paid, full-time internship lasting 10 to 12 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Document key processes that support quarterly analysis and reporting.
- Assist with daily accounting operations.
- Help the team during month-end and quarterly close cycles.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Participate in company-led networking, career counseling, and development sessions.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Status as a rising junior or senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week from May 17 through August 6, 2027.
- Experience with tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Power Automate, VBA, Denodo, Co-Pilot, or the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This position is fully remote within the United States.
- You must be located in or willing to work during Central or Eastern Time zone business hours.
- Occasional travel to corporate offices may be required.
- Candidates must be able to perform all work within the United States.
