About the role#
As an Internal Audit Intern at Enact, you will join the Internal Audit Department for a 12-week program starting May 17, 2027. You will report to the Internal Audit Senior Manager and support strategic, operational, financial, and compliance audits. This role provides exposure to business processes, risk management, and internal control activities within the insurance and financial services industry.
What you'll do#
- Help the audit team plan, execute, and report on audit and advisory projects.
- Attend meetings, interviews, and walkthroughs to understand business processes and risks.
- Review documentation and organize audit evidence.
- Document work according to Internal Audit methodology.
- Analyze data to identify trends or exceptions.
- Draft audit observations and summaries.
- Collaborate with team members and business partners.
- Support departmental initiatives and participate in professional development activities.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, information systems, or a related field.
- Interest in internal audit, risk management, or financial services.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to reason logically and draw conclusions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivation, curiosity, and attention to detail.
- Experience with coursework or projects in accounting, auditing, or finance is preferred.
- Interest in professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
