About the role#
The Accounting Analyst Co-op supports the Corporate Accounting team with general ledger activities and financial reporting. You will gain hands-on experience in a corporate setting, including exposure to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. This position is open to junior or senior undergraduate students, as well as recent graduates within one year of the program start date.
What you'll do#
- Prepare journal entries for assigned general ledger accounts.
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Assist with balancing and other routine reconciliations.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and annual close processes to meet deadlines.
- Help accountants prepare schedules and research account variances.
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding assigned accounts.
- Complete special projects and accounting analyses.
- Ensure work is accurate, timely, and follows company policies.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Completion of at least 2 to 3 accounting courses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Access to an Android or iOS device compatible with the Microsoft Authenticator app.
