About the role#
CNO Financial Group is hiring an Investment Accounting Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside experienced associates to learn investment accounting processes and financial reporting requirements. This is a full-time, paid internship running from May 17 through August 06, 2027. You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States, as the company does not provide visa sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the team to learn investment accounting processes and financial reporting requirements.
- Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly workpapers and supporting documentation for financial reporting.
- Support the optimization of the Singularity investment accounting system through testing and data validation.
- Participate in quality control activities to verify the accuracy and completeness of investment accounting data.
- Conduct basic analysis of account balances and variances.
- Assist with cash balancing activities, including account reconciliations and research on suspense transactions.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- Status as a rising junior or rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for the 10-12 week program duration.
- Ability to work during Central or Eastern Time zone business hours.
Location & details#
This position offers a flexible work environment. You may work fully remote from any location in the United States, provided you maintain Central or Eastern Time zone availability. If you live within 60 miles of our offices in Carmel, Indiana, or Chicago, Illinois, you may work from those locations as needed. Occasional travel to corporate offices may be required.
