About the role#
The Office of Student Engagement and Leadership is seeking a Student Engagement Programming and Event Assistant for the summer term. Reporting to the Director of Student Engagement and the Graduate Assistant for Student Engagement, this role supports campus programming and operations. This is a paid, on-site position based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Applicants must be available for office hours, some weekends, and late-night events.
What you'll do#
- Assist with training for student organizations.
- Manage event reservation processes.
- Coordinate with campus event management groups, including Facilities and IT.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program such as Communications, Psychology, or Human Resources.
- Strong organizational skills and a self-motivated, reliable work ethic.
- A valid driver's license is preferred.
- Willingness to become van certified if you meet the age requirements.
Location & details#
- Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Schedule: Students may not exceed 20 hours per week during the academic year and are limited to 980 total work hours per calendar year.
