About the role#
This position supports the College of Arts and Sciences by assisting the Ticket Office and Front of House Supervisors. You will help ensure a positive experience for all patrons attending events. This is a part-time role offering 20 hours per week at $18.40 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Support the Ticket Office and Front of House Supervisors.
- Manage the Will Call table during events.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to voicemails.
- Use the ticketing system to assist patrons.
- Cross-train to work in both Ticket Office and Usher positions.
What you'll need#
- An active Federal Work Study (FWS) award.
- Enrollment as a student at American University.
- Close visual acuity for tasks like preparing tickets and viewing computer terminals.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 15 pounds.
- Comfort with repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and fingers.
- One year of experience in customer service, such as retail or restaurant work, is preferred but not required.
