About the role#
Chatham University is seeking a Student Administrative Assistant to support the Dean’s Office. This on-site, paid position is open to current students across various disciplines, including Communications, Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources, and Public Health. This role offers the opportunity to gain administrative experience while serving as an ambassador for the university.
What you'll do#
- Manage incoming correspondence through the official school email account and distribute campus-wide emails.
- Oversee EHCC campus calendar approvals and maintain event listings.
- Handle campus mail and package logistics, including notifying recipients of arrivals.
- Support event coordination by placing catering orders, submitting IT and facilities requests, and drafting flyers.
- Assist with space reservations and ASTRA space approvals.
- Provide tours for external visitors as a representative of the Dean’s Office.
- Create training tutorials and walkthroughs for future student assistants.
- Complete a brief performance review each semester in coordination with your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current student at Chatham University.
- Strong communication and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with event coordination is preferred.

- Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Eden Hall and Eastside).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Hours: Maximum of 20 hours per week combined across all campus jobs during the academic year, with a maximum of 980 hours per calendar year.
