Student Athletic Training Assistant

About the role#

Chatham University is seeking a Student Athletic Training Assistant to support the athletic training staff. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in athletic training and sports management while contributing to the daily operations of the athletic department.

What you'll do#

• Support athletic training staff to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient environment.
• Maintain the athletic training facility by sanitizing equipment, treatment tables, and common areas.
• Handle administrative duties, including inventory management, scheduling, and processing secondary insurance claims.
• Prepare student-athletes for appointments and assist with the coordination of game day and practice setups.
• Assist with the setup and teardown of equipment at various athletic facilities to support event operations.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the athletic training staff.

What you'll need#

• Passion for sports and an interest in gaining hands-on experience in athletic training.
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to work.
• Ability to manage administrative tasks, such as inventory and scheduling.
• Capability to contribute to the smooth operation of athletic events.
• Preference for students majoring in Kinesiology, Nutrition, or Psychology.

• Employment Type: Part-time, paid.
• Term: Rolling.
• Note: Students may not work more than 20 hours per week combined across all campus jobs during the academic year and may not exceed 980 hours per calendar year.
