About the role#
Chatham University is seeking a Student Athletic Training Assistant to support the athletic training staff. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in athletic training and sports management while contributing to the daily operations of the athletic department.
What you'll do#
- Support athletic training staff to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient environment.
- Maintain the athletic training facility by sanitizing equipment, treatment tables, and common areas.
- Handle administrative duties, including inventory management, scheduling, and processing secondary insurance claims.
- Prepare student-athletes for appointments and assist with the coordination of game day and practice setups.
- Assist with the setup and teardown of equipment at various athletic facilities to support event operations.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the athletic training staff.
What you'll need#
- Passion for sports and an interest in gaining hands-on experience in athletic training.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to work.
- Ability to manage administrative tasks, such as inventory and scheduling.
- Capability to contribute to the smooth operation of athletic events.
- Preference for students majoring in Kinesiology, Nutrition, or Psychology.

- Note: Students may not work more than 20 hours per week combined across all campus jobs during the academic year and may not exceed 980 hours per calendar year.
