About the role#
The Global Engagement Student Assistant supports the Office of Global Engagement at Chatham University. This position involves assisting staff with semester initiatives, event planning, and student outreach. Students will work on-site at the Shadyside campus in Falk Hall. This is an unpaid position for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist with activities and events for current and new students, including international student orientation.
- Prepare for and execute events by creating handouts, presentations, and providing logistical support.
- Respond to verbal and written inquiries from current and prospective students.
- Support office communications, including designing and posting content for outreach.
- Assist staff with applications and supporting materials for field experience programs, semesters abroad, and international internships.
- Update materials for upcoming terms.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- An interest in learning about other cultures.
- No prior experience is necessary.
- Ability to support office communications and outreach.
- Majors in Communications, International Relations, Psychology, Sociology, or Business Administration are relevant, though all are welcome.
- International students and students who have traveled or studied abroad are encouraged to apply.

- Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Shadyside campus).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Note: Students may not work more than 20 hours per week across all campus jobs during the academic year.
