Global Engagement Student Assistant FA26/SP27

About the role#

The Global Engagement Student Assistant will support the Office of Global Engagement at Chatham University. This role assists the Director and Coordinator with semester initiatives, event planning, and student support. This is an on-site position located at Falk Hall on the Shadyside campus.

What you'll do#

• Assist with activities and events for current and new students, including new international student orientation.
• Prepare for and execute events by creating handouts, presentations, and providing logistical support.
• Manage office communications, including social media outreach and responding to verbal and written inquiries from students.
• Support staff with applications and materials for field experience programs, Chatham Semester, and international internships.
• Update program materials for upcoming terms.

What you'll need#

• Strong communication skills and the ability to support office outreach.
• Good customer service skills.
• An interest in learning about other cultures.
• No prior experience is necessary.
• Preferred candidates include international students or those who have traveled or studied abroad.
• Relevant majors include Communications, International Relations, Psychology, Sociology, and Business Administration.

• Term: Fall 2026.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Note: Student employees may not work more than 20 hours per week across all campus jobs during the academic year.
