About the role#
As a Tax Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by assisting with tax assignments across various sectors, including real estate, construction, healthcare, and manufacturing. You will support the team through the full lifecycle of client engagements while building your knowledge of tax compliance and professional standards.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individuals.
- Assist with IRS audits, tax notice responses, and trust, gift, and estate returns.
- Help plan tax assignments and participate in client projects from start to finish.
- Build and maintain working relationships with client staff.
- Provide responsive service by focusing on individual client goals and needs.
- Uphold professional standards and client confidentiality in all tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program with a focus on Accounting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and internal software.
- Ability to multi-task, think independently, and solve problems within a team.
- Strong interpersonal, research, and project management skills.
- A Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in accounting or active participation in student organizations is a plus.
