About the role#
As a Distributed Audit and Assurance Services Intern, you will join a team focused on solving complex business issues. You will work across various audit and assurance offerings, including specialized assurance, accounting and reporting, controls, and internal audit. This role provides exposure to a variety of clients, ranging from small businesses to large public entities. You will build skills in understanding client business models, risks, and reporting processes.
What you'll do#
- Audit client financial statements, transactions, and internal controls over financial reporting.
- Assist in providing advisory and assurance services.
- Perform data interrogation and analysis on client data.
- Identify and recommend solutions to improve client processes.
- Use tools and technologies to support audit workflows.
- Collaborate with audit professionals and leaders.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor degree in accounting or a related field.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above (3.2 or above preferred).
- Ability to commute daily to the office.
- Ability to travel up to 25 percent on average.
- At least 18 years of age at the start of employment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Evidence of recent leadership experience.
- Relevant work experience is preferred.
- Candidates should meet the minimum educational requirements for CPA licensure in their assigned state.

- Location: Tempe, Arizona.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with expectations to be in the office or at a client site on average two times per week.
