About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to the audit profession. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain real-world experience. You will receive guidance from a coach and participate in networking activities. This is a paid, full-time position for Fall 2027. The role is hybrid, requiring you to reside within a commutable distance of your assigned office and commute daily when needed. You may be expected to co-locate at the office or client sites on average three times a week, with potential travel up to 50 percent.
What you'll do#
- Work with audit teams to deliver financial statement audits.
- Build a foundation in accounting, risk assessment, and professional judgment.
- Perform audit procedures on financial accounts, transactions, and disclosures.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls related to financial reporting.
- Analyze financial information and documentation to identify risks and trends.
- Prepare clear and accurate audit documentation.
- Collaborate with client personnel and engagement teams.
- Use data analytics and emerging technologies to improve audit quality.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Plans to meet the educational requirements for CPA licensure in your assigned state.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred qualifications include a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above, relevant work experience, and a dual major or minor in a technology-related field. Demonstrated leadership in campus or professional activities is also preferred.
