About the role#
CBIZ is hiring a Tax Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Memphis, Tennessee. You will gain hands-on experience by assisting with tax assignments across various industries such as real estate, construction, healthcare, and manufacturing.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning tax assignments and participate in client projects from start to finish.
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Build your tax compliance knowledge by helping with IRS audits, tax notice responses, and trust, gift, or estate returns.
- Maintain strong working relationships with client staff to ensure high levels of service.
- Uphold professional standards, client confidentiality, and ethical conduct at all times.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and internal software.
- Ability to multitask, think independently, and solve problems within a team.
- Excellent research, analytical, and project management skills.
- A Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior accounting work experience or active involvement in student organizations is a plus.
