About the role#
Wipfli is seeking an Audit Intern for the Winter 2028 term. This full-time, paid position offers hands-on experience working alongside professionals across the firm. You will gain exposure to a range of clients, from small businesses to large corporations, while developing the skills necessary to become a trusted business advisor.
What you'll do#
- Perform audit, review, and compliance testing procedures according to firm and professional standards.
- Prepare financial statements, footnotes, management reports, and other engagement outputs.
- Communicate with engagement leaders regarding open items, testing issues, or other relevant matters.
- Respond to client and associate requests in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
- Gather necessary information from clients to complete required documentation.
- Use data analysis skills to identify patterns and support recommendations.
- Proactively find opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.
- Build technical competency with GAAP.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- Completion of a corporate or individual taxation class.
- Above average accounting knowledge, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Working towards eligibility to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation.
- Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data.
- Ability to think independently, make sound decisions, and prioritize tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship.

- The role is on-site, requiring regular attendance at the office or client sites.
