About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Tax Intern position based in Denver, Colorado. You will support our tax teams during the Fall 2027 term. This role is on-site.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for partnerships, C corporations, S corporations, and individuals.
- Assist with IRS audits, tax notice responses, trust returns, and gift and estate returns.
- Help plan tax assignments across industries like real estate, construction, healthcare, and manufacturing.
- Participate in client assignments from start to finish.
- Build and maintain working relationships with client staff.
- Assist with training and mentoring junior associates and other interns on tax methodology.
- Prepare compilations, reviews, and audits.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- An overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong analytical, research, and project management skills.
- Ability to multi-task, think independently, and solve problems.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A desire to obtain CPA certification.
- A Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation and prior internship experience are preferred.
