About the role#
CBIZ is hiring an Accounting Advisory Intern for Summer 2028. This is a full-time, on-site position based in San Francisco. You will gain practical experience by working on tax assignments across various industries including real estate, construction, healthcare, and manufacturing.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning tax assignments and participate in client projects from start to finish.
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Build your tax compliance knowledge by helping with IRS audits, tax notice responses, trust returns, and gift and estate returns.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with client staff to ensure high-quality service.
- Uphold professional standards and client confidentiality in all tasks.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, research, and project management skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with people at all levels of an organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- Ability to think independently and solve problems within a team.
- A Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation is preferred.
- Prior work experience or involvement in student accounting organizations is a plus.
