About the role#
As a Tax Intern in the Destination CPA program, you will work within our tax practice to gain exposure to global tax consulting. You will support our teams by delivering tax services that optimize strategies, minimize risks, and ensure compliance. This role focuses on learning our methodologies, participating in client projects, and completing tasks that contribute to team goals. You will have the opportunity to observe professional work environments and develop your skills alongside experienced tax professionals.
What you'll do#
- Support tax teams in delivering comprehensive tax advice and planning strategies.
- Participate in the preparation and review of corporate tax returns and compliance documents.
- Analyze complex tax regulations to help optimize tax positions.
- Engage in international tax planning and multistate tax compliance activities.
- Conduct tax research to support consulting projects.
- Collaborate with team members to develop tax models and structures for clients.
- Contribute to the preparation of tax provisions and audits.
- Apply data analytics to identify opportunities for tax optimization and efficiency.
- Support the development of regulatory compliance consulting strategies.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Minimum 3.0 overall GPA, with a preference for a 3.5 GPA.
- Candidates are typically in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program.
- Ability to meet educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment before starting full-time.
- Experience or interest in using AI to create efficiencies.
- Intellectual curiosity in tax research and planning.
- Background in corporate tax consulting, international tax projects, or multistate tax compliance.
- Proficiency in data analytics to enhance tax strategy.
