About the role#
This internship offers undergraduate and graduate students hands-on experience in public accounting. You will work alongside our tax teams across a variety of industries. This role is part of our POOL program, which provides exposure to tax, audit, and consulting services. This is a paid, temporary, non-exempt position.
What you'll do#
- Develop a broad understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts.
- Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to senior associates and managers.
- Review and evaluate internal control systems, policies, and procedures.
- Examine and organize accounts and tax records.
- Compute taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations.
- Assist in conducting tax research, studies, and special projects.
What you'll need#
- Expected or completed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics.
- Superior communication skills.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- An ambitious mindset with a desire to continually improve.
- Submission of unofficial transcripts.
Location & details#
- Term: Winter 2028 (January to April).
- Location: On-site in Lake Oswego or Salem, Oregon.
- Schedule: Average 25 hours per week, with a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Compensation: $25.00 to $32.00 per hour.
