About the role#
As an Audit Intern, you will join our Assurance practice to support financial statement audits. You will work alongside experienced professionals to provide objective assessments, helping clients maintain regulatory compliance and financial transparency. This role focuses on learning our audit methodologies and building your understanding of financial reporting.
What you'll do#
- Support audit teams during financial statement audits.
- Review and verify financial documents to ensure they meet accounting standards.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to spot trends.
- Document audit processes and findings clearly.
- Apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
- Work with team members to monitor financial trends and assess risk factors.
- Help evaluate internal controls.
- Use data analysis skills to assist with audit tasks.
- Observe experienced auditors to learn about audit practices and client interactions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- An overall GPA of at least 3.0, though a 3.5 is preferred.
- You should be in your third year of a four-year program or fourth year of a five-year program.
- You must meet the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam before starting full-time employment.
- Knowledge of GAAP, auditing methodologies, and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with data analysis and interpretation.

- This internship is located in Houston, Texas.
- The position is full-time and on-site for Summer 2028.
- This role does not provide visa sponsorship.
