About the role#
This internship offers exposure to retail sales, agronomy, operations, and grain handling. You will work alongside our team to support local agricultural needs and gain practical experience in the industry. This is a full-time, paid position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with crop input retail activities, including shipping and receiving merchandise.
- Learn about fertilizer and pesticide products to help provide recommendations for customers.
- Support the operations of a grain elevator, such as loading and unloading rail cars and moving grain.
- Help set up customer demonstration trials and assist with planning customer events.
- Train on identifying weeds, crop diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and soil issues.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree or diploma program related to Agriculture, with a graduation date between December 2027 and August 2029.
- A valid Canadian driver's licence in good standing.
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada.
- Willingness to be geographically flexible and relocate as needed.
- Comfort working in various environmental conditions, including exposure to sun, wind, rain, pollen, dust, and insects.
