About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to a professional environment focused on sales, risk management, carbon markets, and grain origination. Interns gain hands-on experience working on business projects within the sales and origination function while working alongside grain producers both over the phone and on the farm.
What you'll do#
- Assist Strategic Farm Representatives and Grain Origination Merchants with daily operations.
- Identify and develop customer solutions and services to support regional grain origination objectives.
- Collaborate with team members to connect agricultural producers to food, feed, and industrial customers.
- Engage in business projects that provide exposure to leadership and cross-functional networking.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Preference for majors in Agriculture, Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, or Agriculture Management.
- High degree of initiative and resourcefulness when completing work with limited guidance.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and as an individual.
- Valid driver’s license in the United States and access to a personal vehicle for travel.
- Must have the right to work in the U.S. without reliance on a student visa or third-party sponsorship.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% as needed.
