About the role#
The Operations Management Intern role is a training position designed to prepare students for future plant operations leadership. This 16-week, full-time, paid internship provides exposure to the workflow of plant and distribution operations. Interns gain practical experience by working on projects to improve current operational facets while shadowing teams across various departments.
What you'll do#
- Gain exposure to plant and distribution workflows.
- Execute projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and reliability.
- Engage in Risk Management, focusing on safety, regulatory compliance, and food safety.
- Participate in Talent Management by learning how to mentor and develop diverse teams.
- Collaborate with teams on continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects.
- Utilize classroom knowledge in a real-life industrial setting.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree or diploma from an accredited program, with a graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Ability to commit to a 16-week internship from May through August 2027.
- Legal entitlement to work for Cargill in Canada.
- Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- High degree of initiative and resourcefulness when working with limited guidance.
- Preferred fields of study include Operations Management, Agriculture, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering.
