About the role#
The Operations Management Intern role is a training position designed to prepare students for future plant operations leadership. This 16-week, full-time program provides hands-on exposure to plant and distribution workflows, offering opportunities to shadow various departments and contribute to real-world operational challenges.
What you'll do#
- Work on projects to improve specific facets of current plant operations.
- Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives and production process enhancements.
- Engage in risk management, including safety and regulatory compliance.
- Gain insight into talent management, employee development, and strategies for maintaining team engagement.
- Support operational efficiency and reliability by understanding production maintenance and capital project initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or diploma from an accredited program, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Ability to commit to a 16-week internship from May through August 2027.
- Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- High degree of initiative and resourcefulness when completing tasks with limited guidance.
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.
- Preferred fields of study include Operations Management, Agriculture, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering.
