About the role#
Cargill offers an Engineering Co-op program designed to provide hands-on experience within our production facilities across the United States. This role focuses on bridging the gap between technical engineering concepts and people-management responsibilities. You will work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment, gaining exposure to operations, maintenance, and project management while exploring potential long-term career paths within the company.
What you'll do#
- Lead production or maintenance teams, project groups, or technical operations teams.
- Engage in Operations Leadership or Maintenance and Reliability Engineering roles.
- Participate in project management responsibilities, including process optimization, budget management, and vendor selection.
- Supervise specialized teams and work activities related to production, maintenance, and safety.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations regarding environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Perform physical tasks including bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in varied environmental conditions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering.
- A GPA preference of 2.7 or higher.
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse individuals.
- Strong initiative and resourcefulness.
- Willingness to be geographically flexible and relocate for the duration of the co-op.

- This is a full-time, paid position based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and other locations across the United States.
- The term for this co-op is Summer 2027.
- This role requires on-site attendance.
