About the role#
Engineering Interns gain hands-on experience within production facilities across the United States. This program exposes participants to both technical and leadership responsibilities, including operations management, maintenance, and reliability engineering. Interns work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment and receive support from mentors and supervisors to build professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Gain experience leading production or maintenance teams, project groups, or technical operations.
- Engage teams, improve processes, and manage assets related to production and facility operations.
- Lead short and long-term planning activities, including weekly maintenance schedules.
- Participate in daily production management meetings.
- Supervise specialized teams and work activities related to runtime.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical, BioChemical, Mechanical, Biosystems, Agricultural, Electrical, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering, Packaging, or a related discipline.
- Degree completion expected between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Ability to complete a 12-week internship in Summer 2027.
- Right to work in the U.S. without reliance on a student visa or third-party employer sponsorship.
- Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Geographic flexibility and willingness to relocate for the internship.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site at various plant locations across the U.S.
- The role involves physical activity, including bending, stooping, and lifting objects weighing 25 to over 50 pounds.
- Work environments may involve exposure to varied conditions such as heat, cold, or grain dust.
