About the role#
This internship offers practical experience in accounting best practices within the non-profit sector. You will join the team to learn how financial operations support the organization and its mission to serve children and families. This is a paid, full-time position based on-site in Jackson, Mississippi.
What you'll do#
- Process various types of accounts payable transactions.
- Manage account reconciliation tasks.
- Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements.
- Collaborate with staff members dedicated to the organizational mission.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited academic institution with good academic standing.
- Pursuit of a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Mathematics.
- Completion of goals as outlined by college affiliates and your assigned site supervisor.
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 100 hours during the Fall 2026 term.
- Attendance at a mandatory orientation and training session at the start of the internship.
