About the role#
This internship provides experience in the delivery of mental health services within the MYPAC program. Interns work alongside clinical staff to support children and families, gaining exposure to professional assessments, treatment planning, and case documentation. This is an unpaid, full-time, on-site opportunity intended for academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the delivery of mental health services, including individual, family, and group therapy.
- Gain experience with clinical interventions tailored to specific client needs.
- Participate in the development of assessments and treatment plans.
- Complete necessary case documentation.
- Attend a mandatory 40-hour orientation and training session at the start of the term.
- Integrate into the clinical team and collaborate with staff to support families.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a master's degree program in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Marriage & Family Counseling, or a related field.
- Good academic standing at an accredited institution with an established internship contract.
- A minimum commitment of 100 hours, unless otherwise specified by your academic contract.
- Ability to meet goals outlined by university affiliates and the assigned site supervisor.
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, maturity, and the ability to work with diverse populations.
