About the role#
WEC Energy Group is hiring an HR Benefits Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. You will work in a hybrid environment, splitting your time between remote work and the office. This role is intended for students who want to gain hands-on experience in human resources and employee benefits.
What you'll do#
- Support the benefits team on various projects to build your knowledge of company programs.
- Assist with daily tasks related to medical, prescription drug, dental, life, 401k, and pension benefits.
- Develop your interpersonal and communication skills while working with staff members.
- Gain exposure to areas such as FMLA, short-term and long-term disability, ADA, and workers' compensation.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Business Administration, HR, or a closely related field.
- A graduation date scheduled after June 2027.
- A minimum GPA of 2.8.
- A High School Diploma, GED, or HSED.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Pay: $21.30 to $24.60 per hour.
