About the role#
We are looking for a Power Generation Engineering Intern to join our team at the Elm Road Generating Station. This is a full-time, on-site role for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside experienced engineers to support the operation, maintenance, and performance of our power generation fleet. This position provides hands-on experience and professional mentorship as you contribute to our facility goals.
What you'll do#
- Perform equipment inspections and support plant maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot operation and maintenance issues as they arise.
- Conduct failure investigations to determine root causes.
- Assist in managing small projects.
- Review and update technical drawings and procedures.
- Ensure all work follows relevant codes and standards.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma, GED, or HSE.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program for Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a graduation date after July 2027.
- A minimum GPA of 2.8.
- Previous internship experience or related school projects are preferred.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Pay: $23.10 to $27.55 per hour.
