About the role#
This co-op position offers students a chance to preview the work environment in the utility industry. You will join the Electric Distribution Asset Management team to support the planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operation of the electric distribution system. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The position requires two full-time work terms, including one consecutive summer and school semester, plus an additional summer term.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering tasks related to the electric distribution system.
- Gain hands-on experience by combining engineering science with communications and team building.
- Assist in specific areas such as Materials and Standards, Inspection and Maintenance, and System Protection.
- Support the design and analysis of steel and concrete structures for civil engineering-focused tasks.
- Develop site plans and storm water drainage plans.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma, GED, or HSED.
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to complete at least two work terms before graduation.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Compensation: $23.10 to $27.55 per hour.
