About the role#
This internship provides students with practical experience in mental health service delivery within the MYPAC program. Interns work directly with families to support therapeutic goals, gain exposure to clinical interventions, and develop professional skills in case management and documentation. This is an unpaid position intended for academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the delivery of mental health services, including individual, family, and group therapy, as well as substance abuse treatment.
- Participate in targeted clinical interventions tailored to specific client needs.
- Gain experience with clinical assessments, treatment planning, and case documentation.
- Attend a mandatory 40-hour orientation and training session at the start of the program.
- Maintain professional standards by adhering to business professional or clinical dress codes.
- Complete goals as outlined by university affiliates and the assigned site supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited academic institution, maintaining good academic standing.
- Active pursuit of a master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Marriage & Family Counseling, or a related field.
- Minimum age of 18 with a valid driver's license.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated maturity and self-motivation.
- Ability to work effectively with families from diverse backgrounds.

- Commitment: Full-time schedule with a minimum 100-hour requirement (unless otherwise specified by an academic contract).
