    About the role#

    Join the AML Governance team at Canadian Tire Financial Services for a four-month co-op term. You will support oversight, reporting, and risk management activities that protect the company. This role offers the chance to work with experienced professionals on projects related to financial crime, governance, and regulatory affairs.

    What you'll do#

    • Support AML governance initiatives, risk assessments, and program oversight.
    • Analyze data, trends, and key risk indicators for management reporting.
    • Research emerging financial crime risks, regulatory developments, and industry trends.
    • Assist with the maintenance of AML policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
    • Use data analytics and AI tools to improve reporting and risk insights.
    • Collaborate across Compliance, Risk Management, and other business units.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a degree program related to Business, Finance, Commerce, Economics, Data Analytics, Criminology, Law, or Public Policy.
    • A curious and analytical mindset with a strong desire to learn.
    • Solid research, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint and comfort working with data.
    • An interest in financial crime compliance, risk management, and new technologies.

    • Compensation: This is a paid position with a hiring range of $23.00 to $30.00 CAD per hour.
