About the role#
This is a four-month internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in Welland, Ontario. The role focuses on using analytics and technology to prevent fraud across the customer life cycle.
What you'll do#
- Develop and maintain fraud detection strategies across multiple platforms.
- Manage fraud detection rates and false positives to meet business targets.
- Identify and respond to emerging fraud trends.
- Provide analytical support to Fraud Operations and investigations.
- Work with business units to analyze payment, account, and behavioral data.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program for Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Programming experience in languages such as Python, SAS, R, or SQL.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
